Nike: Motherhood

*I’m not a mother but was lucky enough to get to speak to a whole lot of them during the development of this project. One thing rose to the surface, this feeling that “mother” became the single definition of their identity.

When you become a mother, are you still an athlete? It’s a question you see argued on the internet every day, in comment sections and online polls. In the stares at the gym and the unsolicited advice.

For the launch of Nike’s first maternity line, we wanted to remind the world of the truth. Not only are mothers athletes, they are the toughest athletes of them all.
